What is Kybella®?
This injectable treatment is a prescription medication comprised of a synthetic deoxycholic acid that works to reduce submental fullness and sharpen your facial profile. Kybella® is often used to improve the appearance of a double chin and give the face a slimmer appearance.
How does it work?
The deoxycholic acid found in Kybella® destroys fat cells in the treatment area and prevents them from accumulating or storing fat, which reduces the fullness under the chin and sharpens the jawline.
What can I expect during a treatment session?
A typical Kybella® treatment session can be completed within 15 to 30 minutes and has little to no downtime associated with it. During your treatment session, we will use a fine needle to inject small amounts of Kybella® in various areas under the chin. The number of injections administered per treatment session may vary from patient to patient depending on the patient’s goals for treatment and the amount of fullness under the chin. Some patients may require multiple injection sessions in order to achieve their desired results.

Yes. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they can’t store or accumulate fat again. Results are permanent with a stable weight.
How many sessions will I need?
